Immature Amblyomma breviscutatum ticks collected from humans on Andersen Air Force Base

In June 2015, Julia Schwierking, a volunteer counselor at the Boy Scout Camp at Serena beach on Andersen reported that scouts were getting covered in tiny "bugs" while walking through the woods. She delivered a couple of very tiny immature ticks to me, which I forwarded to Dr. Will Reeves for identification. These were subsequently identified as Amblyomma breviscutatum (see attached letter).
