Description
A Greater Bee Fly (Bombylius major) basking in a bit of sun in a woodland clearing. (Look at it in original size to see detail on the head.) I think this is a male, with those eyes that meet in the center.  Take a look at it in large or original size--I like the detail around the eyes.
