Description
Female Anax spp., ovipositing in a pond. Any remarks on whether it's A. junius (Common Green Darner) or A. longipes (Comet Darner)? Comet Darner has not been officially recorded in Wise County, but I've actually seen males there dozens of times. Just haven't been able to get a photograph! Unfortunately this is the only angle I could see it from, so I don't have any photos of the top of its head.
